SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider point established for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it here tough for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
